St Peter Canisius (8 May 1521 - 12 Dec. 1597) is a Jesuit Catholic priest who supported the Catholic faith during the Protestant Reformation. He was beatified in 1864 in Rome by Pope Pius IX and Canonized on 21 May 1925 by Pope Pius XI. He is the patron saint of Catholic Press and Germany. Saint Peter Canisius Memorial Feast day is December 21st and April 27th.
