Engraving. Engraving is available up to 4 lines 16 Letters each on the 7000 Series large medals and up to 3 lines 12 Letters each on 8000 Series medium medals. Available Type Fonts: Roman, Helvetica, Script, Monogram, & Monogram Circle. Monogram Fonts are limited to three letters.
The back of all medals will be blank before engraving. Add words to be engraved in the box on this page and if you are using letter accent in your words please also add inscription at checkout in comments box. If your item(s) is engraved and/or personalized, the order is considered a final sale. So please double check your inscription to be engraved before you place the order. Our jewelry is die-struck, the same way the U.S. Mint makes coins, which produces rich detail. Each Bliss medal carries a Lifetime Warranty. If for whatever reason a Bliss medal shall become tarnished, Bliss will either re-finish or replace the medal free of charge.
Kateri was the daughter of a Mohawk chief and a slave of her father's, an Algonquin woman. The chief married her mother, and they also had a son. Smallpox devastated their village, killing her parents, her brother, and leaving her near blind. She was adopted by family members who pampered her as the princess she was. As she grew, she became a Christian and her fondest desire was to receive Holy Communion. Her guardians decreed she should marry; she refused as she had decided to dedicate her life to Christ as a nun; her refusal was met with abuse. She fled with the aid of another relative, gaining sanctuary with the Christian enclave downriver. St Kateri Tekakwita is the Patron Saint for vision and environment. Saint Kateri Tekakwita memorial feast day is July 14th.
