Saint Julia/Julie Billiart was born to a peasant family. At the age of fourteen, she took a vow of chastity and began educating the deprived. She founded the Congregation of the Sisters of Notre Dame, which was set up to teach Christian education to girls. This saint is also available with the spelling Julie Billiart. St. Julia Billiart is the Patron Saint for Against Poverty. St Julia Billiart memorial feast day is April 18th.
