St Alphonsa Muttathupadathu of India or St Alphonsa of the Immaculate Conception (19 Aug. 1910 – 28 Jul. 1946) was a Syro-Malabar Catholic Franciscan Sister. She was the first woman Indian origin to be canonized as a saint by the Catholic Church. St Alphonsa is the patron saint against illness, diseases related to feet, Cherupusha Mission League and India. Saint Alphonsa memorial feast day is July 28.
